2. [ البقرة] Al-Baqarah (SAPI BETINA) Ayat 96

وَلَتَجِدَنَّهُمْ أَحْرَصَ النَّاسِ عَلَى حَيَاةٍ وَمِنَ الَّذِينَ أَشْرَكُواْ يَوَدُّ أَحَدُهُمْ لَوْ يُعَمَّرُ أَلْفَ سَنَةٍ وَمَا هُوَ بِمُزَحْزِحِهِ مِنَ الْعَذَابِ أَن يُعَمَّرَ وَاللّهُ بَصِيرٌ بِمَا يَعْمَلُونَ [2 : 96] Dan sungguh kamu akan mendapati mereka, seloba-loba manusia kepada kehidupan (di dunia), bahkan (lebih loba lagi) dari orang-orang MUSYRIK. Masing-masing mereka ingin agar diberi umur seribu tahun, padahal umur panjang itu sekali-kali tidak akan menjauhkan daripada siksa. Allah Maha Mengetahui apa yang mereka kerjakan. (QS. 2:96) [2 : 96] In fact, you will find them the most covetous of life; even more so than the idol worshipers. The one of them wishes to live a thousand years. But this will not spare him any retribution, no matter how long he lives. GOD is seer of everything they do.
